Since 1978, Hutchins BBQ has served real Texas smoke in McKinney and Frisco. We’ve been named one of Texas Monthly’s Top 50 BBQ Joints, voted Best BBQ in DFW for 2025, and invited twice to cook at the James Beard House in New York. But the awards aren’t what built this place. Faith, family, and serving others well did.

The Role

You’re the first smile our guests see and the last one they remember. Front of House team members rotate between the register, the serving line, the dining room, and the drive-thru, serving every guest with real Texas hospitality.

What you’ll do

• Greet guests and take orders accurately at the counter and drive-thru
• Handle cash and card payments
• Line Worker: Serve guests on the line, plate sides and fixings, and keep the line stocked and moving
• Line Runner: Run food and trays, restock the line from the kitchen, and keep things flowing between the back and the front
• Know the menu and help first-timers find their new favorite plate (hint: try the Texas Twinkie)
• Deliver food, check on tables, and keep the dining room, drink station, and patio clean
• Keep the line moving during rushes without losing the personal touch
• Restock, roll silverware, and complete opening and closing duties

Food Safety First

Every plate we serve is a promise to our guests. Front of House team members handle food, cups, and utensils safely, keep the drink station and dining room clean and sanitized, wash hands often, and know how to answer guest allergy questions.

What We’re Looking For

• Friendly, upbeat, and great with people
• Customer service or restaurant experience is a plus, but not required
• Comfortable handling money and working a POS system
• Stays organized and positive in a busy, high-energy environment
• Able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 25 lbs

Requirements

• A valid Texas Food Handler card is required
• Must be 17 or older
• Weekend and holiday availability is required. These are the days Hutchins looks and feels most like Hutchins

What We Offer

• Weekly pay: $12.50 – $16.00 per hour, depending on experience
